Wow, it's been a month since I updated!! It's been a busy month. After our Dallas trip, John headed to another basketball camp, and Grace and I went to my mom's house for a few days. We enjoyed our time there. One of my favorite things on that visit was getting to see some friends from Germany. We hadn't seen them in about 3 years, so it was fun to see them again. I babysat their son every Saturday for several months, and now he's 4! They also have another son now who is just as cute as the older one. We met at a mall and let the kids play in a play area for an hour or so before heading to lunch. It was a great morning with them.

After the trip to Houston, we had 2 days to pack for our trip to Ohio. But before we started our roadtrip, we headed to my aunt's house for a family reunion on my dad's side. We had the entire family together! That hasn't happened in a long time! We had 40 people there, I think. It was so much fun. Grace had a blast playing with all her cousins, and talked about it for several days after.

We drove to Ohio, which took 2 days of driving. We stopped in NW Arkansas to stay with some friends we had from when we lived in Italy. It was great to see them again after 4 years. We stayed 2 nights with them and really enjoyed it. Then off to Ohio!

We stayed with John's parents for about 2 weeks. We enjoyed some much-needed down time. We didn't do much outside of the house, but we did have a lot of family dinners. During the 2nd week, we took Grace to the zoo for the first time. The Columbus Zoo is rated as the best zoo in America by a travel magazine, and it definitely was impressive! Grace loved it. We took the stroller, but we rarely used it. She enjoyed walking (and running). We were impressed that she had the energy for all that walking. I was exhausted!

Grace did really well on the trip. I was pretty worried about the 2-day drive on each side of the visit, but she surprised us. We didn't have to stop as often as we thought we would. But we were all glad to be out of the car and are hoping not to have any long drives coming soon!
