Grace's prayers

We've been teaching Grace how to pray recently. We prompt her in what to say, and usually she repeats it. For that reason, we keep it very simple. This morning, Grace decided to add her own line. This was the prayer:

Me: Grace, say "Thank you Jesus"

Grace: Dee do, Jesus. (Dee do is how she says thank you most of the time)

Me: For food

Grace: food

Me: For mommy

Grace: mommy

Me: For daddy

Grace: dada

Me: For Oma (John's mom who is visiting us right now.)

Grace: Oma

Me: I love you Jesus

Grace: Love Jesus

Me: Amen

Grace: (Just looks at me for a second, like she's thinking)

Me: Say amen.

Grace: cake! amen

Hahaha. I made cakes yesterday and she had some last night, and apparently she's very thankful for them!
